Undeterred, I returned to school for collegiate volleyball, only to be struck by a torn ACL and both medial and lateral meniscus. Despite setbacks, I found myself at a crossroads, and the subsequent cut of the volleyball program led to a spiral of emotional eating, resulting in reaching an all-time high of 322 pounds. My mantra, "Hard work beats talent when talent doesn't work hard," encapsulates my belief in the power of dedication and resilience.
